GoAhead Announces 15,000th Global Deployment
GoAhead Inks New Key Accounts and Helps Customers Achieve Carrier-Grade Status and Speed Time-to-Market
GoAhead® Software, the expert in building integrated middleware for highly available systems, today announced that implementations of GoAhead SelfReliant® now exceed 15,000. With the addition of new customers such as Astronautics, Aselsan, Lockheed Martin and Wichorus, GoAhead strengthens its position as leading high availability middleware provider. GoAhead was recently highlighted as a key factor in enabling two top equipment manufacturers, Operax and Sonim, to deploy solutions with 99.999% availability or greater. This real-world success, combined with continued momentum in the marketplace, can be attributed to GoAhead’s more than 10-year proven track record of enabling equipment manufacturers of highly reliable systems to speed time to market, lower costs, and yield the benefits of standards.
In recent news, Operax, a leader in Quality of Service (QoS) Control solutions for multi-service networks where resource and policy-based admission control (RACS) is required, announced results from an independent product test at the lab of an incumbent telecom operator with more than 10 million broadband lines. According to the announcement, this operator performed an independent evaluation of the Operax Bandwidth Manager 5500. Results granted the solution a carrier-grade stamp of approval showing that performance, reliability and management aspects meet the carrier-grade requirements for business critical multi-service QoS Control. The company was also able to achieve extremely aggressive time-to-market objectives by leveraging integration of GoAhead and RadiSys ATCA chassis and boards via the Service Availability Forum (SA Forum) Hardware Platform Interface. (The recently announced RadiSys and GoAhead pre-integrated, application ready platform is currently available.) For more information, please visit http://www.operax.com/news/operax_and_partners_.asp.
Additionally, Sonim Technologies, a leader in the emerging market for mobile VoIP push-to-talk (PTT) solutions for enterprises, recently announced commercial availability of the first fully redundant implementation of OMA PoC (PTT over cellular) 1.0, the new IMS-compliant standard for PTT interoperability. According to the announcement, Sonim’s Xperience PoC Server (XPS) implementation was completed ahead of other market aspirants and achieves 99.999% availability or greater, accomplished in part by the use of GoAhead high availability middleware. “By using GoAhead, customers are able to speed their time-to-market and ensure 99.999% availability or greater of mission-critical systems,” says Jim Ewel, GoAhead CEO. “Equipment manufacturers know the value of this, and it’s reflected in our increased deployments around the world, which now total 15,000. It’s a great feeling to know that GoAhead solutions are having this kind of positive impact for our customers, and we applaud these innovators for paving the way for the rest of the industry,” Ewel continues.
